This classic antiqua was designed to fill the need for a personal book typeface. And what better could it be than a humanist serif. Monarch wasn’t the first typeface I made, but it certainly took
a long time, involved a lot of trial and error and even changed it’s name a few times. The result is worth all the sweat. It has it’s own character if needed, but also can leave itself gracefully in the background as a text typeface. Like a regal typeface really ought to, Monarch rules the printed page, but doesn’t make a fuss about it.
